Even her body though hidden under a wonderfully flowing wooden dress is slender and beautifully detailed. She sits unmoving with perfect posture and composure. The ever ruffled dress that Peggy will forever wear while she sits in her chair seems as though it is white even though it maintains the colors of the pickled poplar and cedar that she was sculpted from. Even though her dress is meant to reach her ankles as she sits her slender legs can be viewed while her feet gracefully float inches above the ground. The chair itself adds
Myrtle’s expectations of the outcome of the party were completely wrong. Gatsby’s party, on the other hand, is with a large amount of people and five course meals of which everyone is grateful. As the reader examines all three events, the reader can see that Tom, Myrtle and Gatsby’s parties have similarities as well as differences. This forces the reader to explore how the men are actually very similar to each other. Gatsby is known for the huge parties that he constantly throws.

Why so? Well, one of the most evidence tells that, every week, he always throws lavish parties that well prepared with foods, liquors, services and entertainment. In every party that he has, there will be “at least once a fortnight a corps caterers came down with several hundred feet of canvas and enough colored lights to make a Christmas tree of his enormous garden. On buffet tables, garnished with glistening horsd’oeuvre, spiced baked hams crowded against salads of harlequin designs and pastry pigs and turkeys bewitched to a dark gold. In the main hall a bar with a real brass rail was set up, and stocked with gins and liquors...The lights grow brighter as the earth lurches away from the sun and now the orchestra is playing yellow cocktail music and the opera of voices pitches a key higher,…” (44).
Colbie Caillat On Aug. 21, 2012 I had went to Colbie Collibet and Gavin Degraw concert at the antelope valley fairgrounds. It was my first time seeing these two artists and they did not disappoint me at all. I love going to shows where the co-headliners or main interact with not only the audience but with each other's performance. Colbie’s voice was sweet and sensual that it makes me want my hubby to be at the show with me! Her songs make me want to fall in love and to be loved all at the same time.
He had a presence about him that would make the whole mood harshen and change when Fitzgerald wrote, “Then there was a boom as Tom Buchanan shut the rear window and the caught wind dies from the room…two young women ballooned slowly to the floor”(8). This would represent the fact that the party was fun and lively, everyone was laughing and having a fun time and then when he walked in the room, not only did the women’s skirts not blow in the wind anymore and stiffened to the side, everyone’s mood would also stiffen. As the party went on Tom in his arrogant and aggressive charm would brag about his house wanting to show the whole house to everyone even when he approached Nick “his determination to have my company bordered on violence”(24). Even in the smallest of tasks Tom’s aggression came through rather he meant it or
The actresses were fit for the part and even though there was tragedy they still found a way to make you laugh away the pain and for that is why I think the film was awarded numerous times . The lead actresses are Dolly Parton and Sally Field. They are both superb at what their achievements and I loved them in many other fields as well. Peter Travers agrees stating “The ladies are live wires. Just stand back and watch them set off sparks.” The supporting actresses Shirley MacLaine (Ouiser), Olympia Dukakis (Clairee), and Daryl Hannah put the icing on the cake.
She seemed very excited. She was showing all kinds of nonverbal communications. Happy, and anxious at the same time. Well the bell door rang and other than who was her boyfriend. She hugged and kissed him.

Full of smoke, whiskey fumes, the red faces of howling drunken men watching a white woman dancing and a group of black boys fighting, the room calls to mind a chaotic vision of hell by Hieronymus Bosch.
