My Favorite season. by Mark Rex My favorite season would have to be combination of seasons. Fall, for its changing colour of leaves, and the weather, for it reminds me of New York. Whenever a bunch of leaves are blowing around in a funnel type wind, then one leaf seems to hit you in the face, it’s so refreshing to know that we are once again being visited by mother nature. Winter is also one my favorite times of year, for its early darkness of which I’m most comfortable in, and the weather, for it reminds me of Chicago. Whenever a big gust of wind comes along, and blows snow every where; therefore making you hold your jacket closed a little more; while rushing off to a warm place so you can take your bundle of clothes off. I love it when Jack Frost comes a nipping at your noise. It makes you know that there is a warm place, and a warm drink at your final destination. So fall and winter would have to be my favorite seasons. For these months are all about me, cause my birthday is in November the rest of the months leading up to it, and a little after it, I’m shopping for little things for myself. I will be alone for my birthday, the winter season, and New Year’s Eve. I plan to be alone for my birthday this year. I have bought my two boxes of cake mix, soaked the meat for my special birthday dinner, and bought the largest bottle of champagne the liquor store had in my price range. I would bake my cake as soon as I got home on November 16th 2011 and proceed to make my special birthday dinner. Which are dry pork spareribs boneless, and bone-in, with rice and vegetables, and crisp dry iceberg lettuce on the side; then after dinner and cake I would open my champagne at the hour of dread 10:05pm, and have a glass for my life up till now, and a glass for the years to come.
