My Favorite Leader. “Before you are a leader, success is all about growing yourself. When you become a leader, success is all about growing others.” Jack Welch This quote by Mr. Jack Welch clearly describes who good leader is and what he has to do in order to succeed, and, in my opinion, Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin exactly that kind of person. Before becoming a leader of a huge great country as Russian Federation Mr. Putin worked hard on himself and still does. For almost 16 years he has been a KGB officer rising to the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. In sixth grade he started taking sport seriously in the form of sambo and then judo and became a professional in it. He loves sports activities and tries to be a good example for growing generation. Vladimir V. Putin has been Russia’s leader since 2000, a strongman who has helped stabilize the country’s economy and politics while gradually deepening an authoritarian regime. With two mandates, Putin set up a vast operation of State reconstruction through the reinforcement of the administration authority, a come back on the international scene and the distraint upon economy. The Eltsin years destabilized the Kremlin so much that it couldn’t assure its regalia functions. Many regions were stronger that the federal center and had their own legislations that, on certain major points, were contrary to the federal laws. But in 2000, Putin’s government created seven federal circumscriptions headed by Putin’s men that had all powers to make the Kremlin law respected. He also fought against the corruption and the inefficiency of the administration. He was appointed prime minister in 1999 by the ailing president, Boris N. Yeltsin, and became president of Russia in 2000. Arising from obscurity, Mr. Putin, a former K.G.B. officer, proceeded to consolidate control over almost every aspect of society and business and
