The best time to do this would be when I get home from work, an hour at the gym, but I’m sure there will be a few days that I may be able to make use of my lunch hour as well. Another strategy would be to make the most of my free time on the weekends. I don’t have any obligations on the weekends so this would be the most suitable time for me to finish any major assignments for class. Working on school work on the weekend will also help improve some of the stress that may arise throughout the week as I manage school and work. If I am able to stick to these two time management strategies I will have no problem getting my educational goals.
Against Year Round School Argument Year round school presents a very controversial issue that school districts struggle with ever year. The same arguments, facts, and statistics are presented annually, and somehow a conclusion is never reached. Many people believe year round school would be a good change and a step in the right direction. Although there are many positive innovations to year round school, the advantages do not outweigh the disadvantages of retention, cost, breaks, vacations, space, reviews, employment, and scheduling (Political Debates and Polls Forum). The traditional calendar always has been the schedule for school since the 1800s.
Unwinding in front of my computer screen after a long day at school I notice an unread email: Detention Notice for Lunch Absence. This message has got to be some kind of cruel joke. Not only have I not missed a lunch this week, I have not missed one all year. However, once again due the grand inefficiencies of lunch room I will be spending my Saturday morning not in my bed, but in a bland room biding my time. Given the sufficient funds I would fix the numerous issues the lunch room at my school has allowing it to become a more efficient system.
Or with Fridays which invoke a sense of joy that the week is over and a swirl of excitement of the impending weekend, but what about the days in between? What about Wednesdays? What emotions can they stir up? Well for me they make me feel happy and so much more. So for starters I was born on May 10,th 1995 which was on a Wednesday so, for me Wednesday s are like homage to me since it marks my arrival into this world.
We used to have a bank that I would put the money that I collected into every week at school. It was great for me to save up my money and not spend it right away. It taught me the value of money and disciplined me by not letting me spend it on different things. I really liked looking at my bank account grow and grow every week when I brought in my next amount of pennies. Pennies seem to be scarce nowadays because they are not as important as they used to be.
I believe that now is the time to change our educational system as we know it for the benefit of teachers, students and their parents! Our current system allows us to have one long drawn out break and other small inconsistent days off, while a year-round system gives students and teachers frequent days off. These days off are just that, no need to name it an official holiday. A year-round schedule gives the students and faculty a chance to reset and regenerate often. I think when it comes to breaks we can all agree we can all use a long weekend from time to time, lately with all the stresses in the world a frequent break may be need much more often than not!
Learning Team Reflection Regenal B. Smith, La Quandria Murray, Candice Lilly, Brittnay Roche' QBR/501 July 26, 2012 Dr. Susan Layton Learning Team Reflection La Quandria believed she did a good job on this week learning. It was much easier to understand than the previous weeks. La Quandria would like to review Week three assignments, she feels a little better about graphing. One thing she learned in the last class period was she may not have had such a difficult time if she had graphing paper. She plans to purchase some this weekend to assist her with more accurate graphs.
Tucker Lehr 10/1/12 790-670-188 Time Analysis Paper I found this project not only to be helpful, but also opened my eyes on what I do each and every day. I believe that my leisure time is a little more restricted during the school year. In this two week time period, I had quite a bit of leisure time, because I hadn't acquired a job yet. Now that I have a job my leisure time will most likely be cut in half from what it was two weeks ago. Since most of my classes run through the morning to early afternoon, I find that my leisure time comes in the afternoon, which in turn only leaves you so much daylight to work with.
Habits are not concrete and are dropped and adopted overtime, a continuous learning process. A habit is something that we no longer think about because it is such a regularity almost becoming involuntary behavior. A person may not even realize that they are doing something the same over and over because it is second nature. Sometimes habits can carry over into other things we may not intent, like a person that wakes up early Monday through Friday for work. On Saturday and Sunday the habit will carry over forcing them to wake up and start their day.
It may not be the most appealing, especially since it takes place on a Friday night. Although, I admit, this job is not the most enjoyable, the feeling that I get every time I do it is touching. When I insert the quarters into the machines, peoples faces light a smile. As it lights a smile on their face, it also lights one on mine. They know that their family's have clean clothes to wear for a couple of weeks.
