My Father On June 20, 2012 I was on my way home from work when I received a strange text from my mother. She said when you get home look at your dad something is not right. It was then I called my mother to find out what was wrong and she stated that he had been home for an hour and would not talk. I hung up the phone and called 911 immediately since I was not there. The ambulance took him to the hospital and I arrived shortly thereafter. When I walked into the hospital my mother was sitting in the waiting room. In a matter of 5 minutes we went back to the room with my father he was still unable to talk and no one knew why. This was so scary to me and the only thing I could think of was a stroke. Minutes seemed like hours and it didn’t seem like they were doing things fast enough. I tried to remain patient waiting for the test to be done but this was my father I wanted to know now. My dad was really calm and could follow instructions but could not say anything to tell us what was wrong. The nurse came in and explained they were putting in an IV, drawing some blood, and they were going to do a CT scan. Once they had everything hooked up and settled they wheeled him down to get the CT scan which only took a few minutes. As they were bringing him back to the room I was watching down the hall impatiently. When I could finally see him it was so terrifying his face was drawn up to one side and he looked so scared. I jumped up and started screaming at the nurse asking what was wrong and she stated he was fine a minute ago. Suddenly nurses and doctors rushed in and started yelling orders. We had to leave the room and I walked outside to get air for a minute. When we returned to the room everything had settled down. The doctor came in and talked to us and said that what had happened was he had a seizure but no one knew why or what caused it. They
