Jonathan Anderson English 99 Dr. Mullens February 20, 2012 The most memorable person in my life was my dad. Frank J Anderson he was and always will be my hero. He was a father, a teacher and a hard worker nothing could get him down. He was born on August 5, 1942 in Martinsburg, WV and passed away November 21, 2005. He lived a long and hard life. He was the Berkeley County Animal Warden for 12 years as well as a volunteer firefighter at Baker Heights Fire Department after that he became the head mechanic and mixer operator for a company called Potomac Construction Industries. He taught me how to be a carpenter and how to be a man. He couldn’t teach me anything out of a book but he did teach me everything he know. He taught me gun safety and how to deer hunt. He always told me if you’re not going to eat it then don’t kill it the main reason to hunt is to feed your family. He made me do my homework every night and made sure I was up every morning in time for school. The only thing my dad ever wanted was for me to get my high school diploma and you should have seen his face when I walked across that stage. In 1997 he was diagnosed with renal failure and had to be put on dialysis 3 times a week. He had to quit his job at PCI and was told he was totally disabled, but none of this stopped him it just made him more determined to do the things that he loved to do. He went to his treatments and on days he didn’t have them he would work around the house fixing things such
