As a child, every fall, my parents would take me and my siblings camping. Dad worked a lot, so we counted down the days of summer, until we got to be together. Every breath I took was like I was inhaling my childhood. I could hear the waves bouncing off the rocks as we sat on the patio and had lunch. The smell of the water and the warmth that touched my skin, when the sun peeked through the clouds, took me back in time to the campground.
The Jamaican festival “Negril on the Green” was this huge family cookout on five acres of land outdoors. The event occurs every Sunday afternoon from 12 noon until 2 am the next morning. We brought our own lawn chairs, blankets and coolers with cold beverages and some desserts as well. As we walked to find a spot to sit I could smell the heavenly scents of jerk chicken, jerk pork, and fried fish lingering through the air. The music from the bands was lively although I could not understand all of the lyrics but I clapped along away.
Blackrock Summit Steve 12/3/10 Last summer I spent three separate weekends hiking in Shenandoah National Park with friends. I camped in Loft Mountain close to the southern end of the park, and at the lodges in the Big Meadows settlement. Entering the park on the northern end I drove along the Skyline Drive for a few hours until I reached the Loft Mountain campgrounds. Each night we tried find a good place to watch the sunset and have a few beverages. Our favorite place to experience this ritual was at the top of the Blackrock Summit trail.

Ever since I was a little boy, my family and I have gone to Lovewell Lake every summer. I have endless memories there. Thats why, I’ve decided to take you there. Lovewell State Park contains many winding roads that lead to the different camping grounds. We always camp in the Cottonwood campgrounds.
Trout Lake is located near the Adirondack Mountains in upstate New York, surrounded by massive white birch and maple tress, beautiful meadows, and crystal clear water, so clear you can almost see the bottom. It was a place to get away from everyday life, for the weekend or just for a week or two. Trout Lake holds a special place in my heart and I have some really fond memories of spending time there. It's a place where memories are made, like the first time I learned how to swim, the family BBQ'S, sitting around the campfire roasting hotdogs and marshmallow's for s'mores, and holidays, especially the Fourth of July. Spending time at Trout Lake changed my perspective on what the "word" family means.
They said good night and went to there tents. While the children were a sleep in there tents. The adults sat around the campfire for a couple more hours taking it in before bed, the smell of the oak burning, the warmth of the fire and sounds of the night which was peaceful. A campfire to some people can be called a stress reliever, but to me, I like to call
His mother was the "perfect" mother, when he was younger than four. She taught them something new every day and took them on many fun family vacations. Then, singled out one of her children to be the family slave, but it didn't stop there. She also played cruel games, with the boy. Some of her favorites were the gas chamber, and the starvation tease.
That evening the kids cooked hot dogs over the fire. To be completely honest, I would have to say the evening was peaceful, time just stood still. My oldest daughter, Alexis, said, “We are having a camp out, but we are just sleeping in our
