Carla Wright My Return to School English Composition 1 Denya Cuiffo October 14, 2013 When we attend college as adults, we have expectations of what college will be or will not be. I decided to go back to school for quite a few reasons. The main factors for my returning to school includes my family and stability also plays big role in my returning to school. My reasons for going back to school is to gain communication skills, become a good role model for my children, if I decide to have any, gain independence and seek profitable employment that would be profitable for me. My father has always been my support system in my return to school.
I never thought that I would be the teenager in high school who had to grow up a lot faster than the rest of my friends and fellow classmates. I had many dreams and goals I wanted to accomplish while being a teenager, but when I found out that I was expecting a baby my junior year in high school my dreams and goals were put on pause. I graduated high school my junior year. It was exactly one month before I had my wonderful son. My son Kaleb was born May 24 2008, and from that moment on I wanted to give him everything he deserves.
I finally had self- confidence and the drive to make the most of my career as I neared completion of Banker’s College. Finally completing bankers college only started a drive for personal interest in a full fledged college degree and a chance at a new dream that I one day would like to complete, my own day care. I returned to an online college in a degree program for Early Childhood so I could prove to my family that I could graduate with honors and receive a diploma and I did with an Associate’s Degree the proudest moment of my life. I now have the chance to do many things with my college degree as well as returning to college and adding to it to

Once I remembered my dream and put things into perspective, I registered for my “remedial” classes. After the pity party was over I remembered that dream when I was a child. After I started going to my classes, I started to plan towards that dream I once had as a child. I then made that dream my goal and I knew form that moment on that I would follow that plan all the way to law school. “How good you are in the beginning does not measure how great you can become.” There really is an enormous amount of truth behind this statement.

In the world that we live in today, they are a necessity and a must have for a promising career. In the report that I have been asked to prepare, we are going to look at all of the benefits a company can gain from providing this service to their employees. What I am referring to is a term called tuition reimbursement. Tuition reimbursement is a “program designed to support associates with personal and professional development by increasing their knowledge and skill level” (Publix, 2012). This is a program that not all employers offer, therefore if your company does, I highly suggest that you take them up on it.

Senior Salute I always knew I wanted to go to college, but sometimes along the way I lost faith in myself and thought I wouldn’t be able to, however. When I was in 8th grade I joined a program called “ConnCAP” which stands for Connecticut Collegiate Awareness and Preparation Program. I never really noticed how much this program has helped and prepared me for the future. It wasn’t until my senior year of high school that I realized what an extraordinary influence this program has had on me and my life. Since eighth grade I never really took anything the ConnCAP staff said to me seriously; it took me seventeen years to actually understand and realize how important college is and how important having a good education is.
