Whenever a person is going through a situation in their life, or is in a particular setting; if they listen to a certain piece of music a few times, this piece will then be connected to that atmosphere. When they decide to listen to that piece again, they will remember the particular setting they were in. This experience is the most powerful one. The ability to backtrack to a moment in your life through music is something that is really quite beautiful. This is why certain pieces are associated with certain events.
Create a short historical narrative that demonstrates the musical styles that may have led to the creation of the song. What musical components of the song can you sight that demonstrate these influences. Be as specific as possible. This might include discussion of the rhythmic style or “groove” of the song, instrumentation, texture, form, melody, harmony, political focus or lack there of, and anything else you choose to include. You need to do more than simply mentioning published influences.
Discrimination can make an individual feel in many different ways. The effects can be emotional or/and physical. If a person with a disability is not allowed to join in with an activity this could make the person feel different from others. A few effects could be Depression, fear of rejection, humiliation. These effects can also be felt by the individuals’ families and friends too.

1.1 The causes of distress are varied and differ from person to person. The causes can be a range of external factors; however, the reasons have a much deeper, psychological influence which affects the way different people respond to different circumstances. Most people most of the time behave within the accepted norms of society. However, occasionally the emotions may become too powerful or the control which people have over their emotional feelings relaxes, resulting in a display of emotion which is recognised as distress. People commonly become distressed when: * They are informed of the death or serious illness of someone close to them * They receive other bad or worrying news * There is an overload of work or family pressures
Drama is usually a story with interprets issues or views which people can relate to. Similarly music does the same thing usually with lyrics which convey emotions. | This could be used in a health and social care setting when activities such as music and drama is being held this could be used in a school, community centre and other places. | The advantages of this are that it allows service users to express their feelings in a different way which they may feel more comfortable with also if they are stressed or upset the music or drama could be their way to relieve the tension. | Disadvantages of this may be that if the service user is trying to communicate something really important then it may be misunderstood, or people may not get the right idea.
Culture identity is one's own sense of culture. It is the influence one gains by belonging to a certain group or culture. It also refers to the traditions, customs, and practices that affect a person. In my life, culture identity is very important because it is who I am. It has shaped me into the person I am now.
In the victim’s story on pages 142-145, he tells of how a family friend’s sexual abuse to him shaped his life. He speaks of how he found validation and vindication through different avenues. Although many of his avenues included not telling the truth, it ultimately aided in him finding the strength to fight back and get away from his abuser. This began his healing process and may have begun the healing process for his abuser as well. One author writes “healing is crucial not just for victims, but also for offenders.
Remember, if someone’s reaction is different to another, it does not necessarily mean that this person cares less than the other does. Knowing the factors that affect grieving can help understand the different reactions individuals may have to loss.
