Museum Visitation Report

This past Saturday 10/13/2013. I was very excited about doing my first visitation project. In this case I chose to do the Museum visitation first. I went to The Museum of Contemporary Art, Located at North Miami. The museum is not one of the most beautiful I have ever seen; it was very simple, plain and small, but the visit was definitely interesting. I went to see “The Love of technology exposition”. I have always been very involved and interested in the advances of the technology and this is the reason why I thought it was going to be very interesting to see a combination of technology and Art.

The Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA) is museum of collections that offers visitors temporary exhibitions and exhibitions of its collection. They are now exhibiting the love of technology collection. This is an exhibition group of artists from all parts of the world that question the connection between technology and humans, and discover the effect of continues communication between operating system and users. Loves of technology consist of existing works by recognized artists like Andrea Zittel, and also by the newly commissioned and site-specific works by some artist that have their American museum presentations such as Ben Schumacher and Lena Henke. The exhibition in based on MOCA tradition of giving a stage for emerging artist, as well as those who are no represented institutionally in the United States of America.

As I was walking into the museum I started enjoying and interpreting the combination of both, Art and technology. The exhibition counted with 6 galleries.
