Nothing could compare to the fascination I had with the Gnathia-Ware art I encountered at the museum. I decided to take a trip back to the Museum to view the piece once again. I wanted to make sure this was definitely the piece to write my essay on. The second trip back was just as wonderful as the first. I am Glad I made the trip.
The Barrick Museum is a wonderful addition to the University of Nevada, Las Vegas’s campus, adding a sense of culture throughout its displays of modern art and anthropological artifacts. The museum is surrounded by desert gardens and has an incredibly modern design. It uses asymmetrical shapes and large, open spaces to create a welcoming atmosphere. The artifacts the Barrick Museum has on display were interesting and diverse. It included Native American statues to student artwork, some of which were being advertised as being sold in an upcoming auction.
NORTON SIMON MUSEUM Last Sunday, I went to field trip to the Norton Simon Museum. It is my first visit museum in The U.S., so I expected. I took my friend’s car, so it was very comfortable. When we arrived at NSM, teacher and classmates arrived at there also. The museum was very quietly, simply, and nice.
------------------------------------------------- Cameron Art Museum Darian Daughtry March 16, 2014 March 16, 2014 HUM 112 On March 15, 2013 my wife Tanya and I attended the Cameron Art Museum. The Cameron Art Museum is located on 3201 South 17 Street, Wilmington, NC 28412. When I first walked into the art museum I was in awe of all the art. I had always seen the art that they had outside and wanted to go in, but I could never find anyone who would go with me. After taking this class, I was excited to go and look at the art.
The High Museum Surprisingly during my visit to the High Museum there were several things about the museum and about the art that impressed me. Upon arriving at the museum I was immediately impressed by the design of the building itself. The linear exterior design made the building clean, modern and inviting. The building seemed to be exactly what one would expect of a building housing various works of contemporary and modern art. The design along with the art pieces found outside, specifically the Rodin statue, which stood prominently in front of the museum, struck a curiosity in me to see the art on display within it’s walls.

Leigh Montgomery 5/15/12 HA 314 I chose the Brooklyn Museum for my assignment since I had never been there and I was excited to visit. We walked into the American Identities, A New Look, and Making Art: Centennial Era, exhibit and I was surprised, Yes, it is not the Met but as I walked around the gallery I found myself drawn in by many of the paintings. I particularly liked three, one being The Repimand, Ah! You naughty Fawn, You Have Been Eating the Flowers Again, by Arthur Fitzwilliam Tait, the second In The Mountains, by Winslow Homer, and the third Lake George, 1857, by John William Casilear. The Reprimand.
Although it didn't contain the works of artists like van Gogh or Manet, it contained pieces of huge historical significance, especially of local significance which gives it a personal touch to a Charlestonian. My wife and I were very impressed at the organization of the pieces by theme, in addition to the two main exhibits that Gibbes was orchestrating (Camera Works and Breaking Down Barriers). The cell phone audio tour was a nice touch that was perfectly executed by the museum. This was the very first art museum visit for both my wife and I and we are both in agreement that there is so much more to see, examine and study from the pieces contained not only with Gibbes Museum of Art, but within other museums within our area. This visit was a positive experience for both of us and we really enjoyed the opportunity to learn more about the deep cultural significance of
I had been stationed in the Columbus area previous to now for 5 years & never did I once consider taking a trip to the Columbus Museum. My boyfriend & I went for the first time today & I truly enjoyed it. My favorite exhibition was definitely Drawing Near. It’s weird how someone can use so much stuff besides a pencil or crayons to draw. If I remember correctly they use pencil, charcoal, watercolor, ink & if I’m not mistaken a few other things.
You can do this in the comfort of your own home. My experience of art net was wonderful. I really enjoyed the art net, because I got a chance to view a lot of designs that I have never heard or seen before. Mostly some of the artwork had a profound impact on me, because I got a chance to view art in my culture, as well as learning about art from different cultures. I listed just a few that I liked overall.
