2/9/2010 Paper #1 In the book by Gordon Wood, The Radicalism of the American Revolution, three types of governance are spoken of in the American colonies; monarchy, which took place during the 1740s, republicanism, which began after the Revolutionary war, and democracy, which took place during the 1800s. Each of these different political systems governed how the people of the Americas lived. A monarchy is very patriarchal, and hierarchy is important to the community. Republicanism was the beginning of the monetary movement and start of equality of the people. Lastly, democracy took over some republicanism ideals such as unity and more freedom of the people.
Final Exam Research Paper In 1774 a group of delegates from each state got together and were called the continental congress. This so called continental congress got together the Declaration of Independence which started the beginning of the American politics, in which three main issues have builded ever since, the constitutional, congress, and the presidency. The constitution one of the most important documents of the united states grants specific powers to each branch of governments which are the: legislative branch, executive branch and the judicial branch. The congress is another way of law and authority of the United States. Congress has many powers in the United States, for example they can band some rules if they think it’s the right
Part of the system is the introduction of proportional representation that meant parties in the Riechtag would gain seats depending upon the number of votes they got in the most recent election. The consequence of this was that it brought a number of parties together with the help of another key feature of the constitution, the “Bill of Rights”. This meant that parties could express their views, as the “Bill of Rights” was a law that gave people the freedom of speech. This union made representation of many opposing parties very open, which effectively made the Weimar constitution more democratic. However P.R made it difficult for a lot of parties to gain a majority of seats in the Reichstag, which made it harder for one major party to take control of the country.

Of the Constitution, Alexander Hamilton, and the Art of the Sale The Constitution of the United States of America is often called the American Experiment by political powers outside our borders. From the time it was drafted it has been scrutinized by enemies as well as allies, each with their own political agenda on what it means to them both individually and collectively. Through the drafting of the Constitution the founding Fathers established a federal government that had more power over their sovereign states but cleverly policed itself from any one organized group within that federal body from gaining ultimate authority over all. This was accomplished by developing three branches of government to counter balance: Legislative, Executive
Each of them had significant legislation passed during each administration. Theodore Roosevelt, the 26th president of the United States, proposed the “Square Deal”. Its three basic ideas were control of corporation, consumer protection and conservation of natural resources. It also called as the “three C’s” of Roosevelt’s Square Deal. It was more focused on helping middle class citizens.
Constitution outlines the steps how an amendment can be proposed. Amendments can be proposed either through Congress or through a Constitutional Convention. Regardless of how an amendment is proposed, the final and most important step is ratification. The two methods of ratification are the three-fourths of the state legislatures and three-fourths of the states in convention (Mount, 2006). The most common method of ratification is the three-fourths vote of the state legislatures.
