Introduction to Case I will be analyzing the Mount Everest case as it relates to the Process of Organizational Socialization as described by Ivancevich, Konopaske, and Matteson (2011). The case opens up a broad range of managerial decision making questions and how it relates to ‘Role Management’. Case Analyses Ivancevich, Konopaske, and Matteson (2011) describe a model of the process of organizational socialization, in which employees entering a new company begin a process. This process would be similar to the Everest case as it relates to team members joining the ascent to Mount Everest.
