Introduction This assignment will explain two different models of behaviour change that have been used in recent national health education campaigns, it will explain what the campaigns are and how and why they are targeting certain groups in the community to try to educate them on how to live a healthier and longer life by educating them to try and change their unhealthy habits for more healthy ones. Change for life campaign “These days, ’modern life’ can mean that we’re a lot less active. With so many opportunities to watch TV or play computer games, and with so much convenience and fast food available, we don’t move about as much, or eat as well as we used to.” www.nhs.uk/change4life Change for life is a government backed NHS campaign to combat the growing obesity problem in the U.K. particularly in children. The eat well- move more- live longer- change 4 life campaign was set up to help children and their families to eat healthier meals get more exercise to keep their weight down and to try and reduce health related illnesses such as type two diabetes. The campaign is a web based campaign aimed at children with different links to different pages that are filled with different healthy recipes and fun and different ways of exercising for all the family. The campaign s not only web based it advertises on television and posters with slogans such as “the way we live today means a lot to us including our kids, having fallen into bad habits this means we all need to make changes to eat well move more live longer” www.nhs.uk/change4life to encourage us all to take more notice of the diet we eat and how much exercise we really get and the simple changes that can be made to improve our health and the health of our children and families. “Sex” worth talking
