Mobility Scooters Abstract/introduction People Have been in need of mobility aids since the start of man kind due to birth defects animal incidents and even just old age. One way this has been treated had been walking sticks, wheel chairs and now in todays time the mobility challenged can own a mobility scooter it’s fully automatic and is essentially an automobile that you can take anywhere. These mobility scooters commonly reffered to as “gophers” are praised by the public community if they can walk or not as people know if they ever get in a serious accident or age and are unable to walk far distances. These machines were based on wheelchairs and wheelchairs were the main thing people used if they needed disability aids they are designed so people can be mobile . These gophers can also be custom made, if some one only has one arm they can work around that and give it a completely different design to be able function by someone with those physical properties but they do cost a lot of money to purchase. Analysis. The next step is to research on the features and functionalities of different types of disabled mobility scooters. Thanks to tremendous advances in disabled mobility scooter design and technology in recent years, there are many factors to be considered in the process of finding the vehicles that best suit the needs and requirements of their perspective users. For example, three-wheeled disabled mobility scooters are lighter and more manoeuvrable, while those with four wheels are heavier and more stable. In general, the wheels of disabled mobility scooters range from six to 12 inches (15.2 to 30.5 centimetres). Smaller wheels are good for sharp turns and navigating in tight spaces indoors, while larger and wider wheels are mainly for rough and outdoor terrains.
