My Dream for America “ I have a dream that one day, down in Alabama, with its vicious racists, with its governor having his lips dripping with the words of interposition and nullification; one day right there in Alabama, little black boys and black girls will be able to join hands with little white boys and white girls as sisters and brothers.” My “Dream for America” changes as the world changes and as time go by. But basically it is to live in peace, freedom, and wealth to take care of ourselves and enough education so that our children may be in a better place than we are. To change the world for the better, to let our children not have to go through the same things we did. Freedom to do what we want and say what we want without the fear of getting thrown in jail or killed by ambitious leaders. Enough money to take care of our families that they may live peacefully without the fear of when they were next going to eat, where they were going to sleep. My dream for America is about letting the people control rather than being controlled, to live peaceful happy lives. Also to not be hurt or killed because of any religion, race, or anything that you believe in. I think that people are losing site of what their dream for America is because they are so focused on politics to remember why this country was made in the first place and what it means to us now. My dream is a goal for the majority of people who live in the realms of the Americanized world. I believe that the ‘Dream” is controlling my own destiny, becoming successful and a wealthy individual, and living free. Examples of this dream are things like television, automobiles, supermarkets, malls, Internet, planes, trains, etc. My dream for America is success, freedom, and being able to control your own destiny. Becoming successful has been the dreams of many people of the past and present. I
