The consumer will put their toothbrush bristles down into the cup, which will then use ultrasonic waves to sterilize the toothbrush. The cleaner takes 30 seconds to completely sterilize the toothbrush. When a toilet flushes, it can spray water (or whatever may be in the bowl) as far as 6 feet outside the bowl.
