Civilian employees serve a vital role in supporting the Military operations. Civilian employment expectations are easy to accomplish. Working for the Military is more stressing than being employed as a civilian. With me being in the Military and once being employed as a civilian, I can speak on the comparison between the Military Employment and Civilian Employment. Even with civilians having jobs in the Military, Military and Civilian employment life, benefits, and expectations are totally different. Military Employment and Civilian Employment life are different. The Military are trained to fight to support the United States. While Civilian Employment help to support their family, pay bills and for their personal needs. Military risk their lives for the people in the United States. While Civilians Employment is much more safer, there’s no high risk being hired for a Civilian job. In the Military they expect you to be a soldier twenty-four hours seven days a week three hundred and sixty-five days a year. While Civilian Employment you work forty hours a week (Full Time) with having set schedules and set hours. In the Military Employment you basically have to sign your life over to the government. Which in Civilian Employment you can quit whenever they want and face no punishments unlike the Military. Military Employment and Civilian Employment benefits are different. First off all the Civilians have hourly wages and get paid by the hour, were as the Military have a pay scale for each rank of grade. Second, The Military have full health care coverage for free while Civilian Employment have to pay for their health benefits. In the Military you are able to get housing allowance provided through the Military but Civilian Employment has to pay for their house bills. The Military help with furthering your education by G.I Bill, Tuition Assistance and more, but Civilian
