Everyone has heard of Miley Cyrus, whether your seven years old or seventy years old. Miley is seen as a role model to most little girls, so unfortunately the public feel as though she is never allowed to make a mistake. Having overwhelming fame at such a young age causes the public eye to look to the child star as a role model but many forget that the pressures of fame and normal adolescence cause them to make the same mistakes most children their age make. Every move that Miley makes is basically placed under a microscope for the world to see. For instance, the other day she was criticized for simply being ignorant to the fact that you had to leave a tip when ordering out from a restaurant, this small mistake was all over gossip sites, saying she was “cheap” and “a bad tipper.” If a regular person were to make this mistake, it would be considered no big deal, so why must Miley have to deal with “haters” for days to come. Another example would be when she so-called “pole danced” at the Teen Choice Awards. First of all, she didn’t really pole dance; she was only up there for about ten seconds. Secondly, she is getting older, yes she is only sixteen, but she it trying to show the world she wants an older, more mature audience. She even apologized saying she didn’t mean to upset anyone, especially her younger fans, she loves all her fans and she felt she was just “entertaining.” Miley used to keep in touch with her fans through “Twitter” which is a social-networking site kind of like “Facebook”, except you only have to write updates. Miley had over two million followers that were mostly true fans that always gave her support. Recently though, Miley has deleted her twitter.
