Plus before taking COMM 150 I took ENG 101, so I was already a head of the game going into COMM 150. Yes I do feel after taking COMM 150 that have the appropriate research sources, since ONET was very useful in researching the finer points of my career. The way it influenced my evaluation of the four information sources I used to cite my professional plan assignment was that it made the research easier to retrieve, so I spent less time on looking up sources so I had more time to type up a well written paper to hand in. I would like to have more sources for future papers so that I can get more point of views on my career choice. Having more research sources will also make me more satisfied with my work, and I will not stress whether the paper if up to my standards as well as the
This website was the first online service provided for buyers to shop for cars online so that they do not have to deal with the problems and hassles that arises that traditional buyers would usually deal with when they are at the dealership. Some of the cost and benefits to consumers of the Autobytel system at the time of the case were that they were hassle free compared to going into the dealership, they were good for beginnings, they offer financing and loyalty programs. This is good for beginner buyers because they are able to look at car pictures for every make and model with the specifications and pricing information. After they figure out what car they are looking for, they receive more information about the car they selected. They are also able to customize their car with possible features the car model offers.
The Political Science program even helped me succeed in my schools AP course because it prepared me for future topics that I would eventually learn and most importantly the AP exam. Throughout the year I kept completing all the intricate assignments and by doing so I feel that challenging myself has benefited me for the future that awaits me. Before AP History I felt unaccomplished and that school was too easy. I used to complete my assignments and feel spiritless. The course made me realize that college wouldn't be cinch.
I tend to over think things in my life. For, instance, I thought getting a Driver’s License would be easy, a matter of precision and technical skills honed into that final, coveted plastic card to put in my wallet as proof I could achieve this milestone with little difficulty. What I found, however, was it took perseverance and a bit of creativity to reach my goal. Going to DPS for my first driving test, I was confident in my skills. My daily practice driving over the past six months had prepared me for any road shenanigans that the DPS instructor could throw my way.
I believe that many students need motivations and reasons to do frequent studying, reading, and exercising; therefore frequent in-class exams will give them good reasons and motivations to start reviewing a chapter. Frequent tests will be more efficient in classes that require a lot of readings and memorizing, such as history, politic, geography, etc, because if a student procrastinate his reading until a night before the test, he will be overwhelmed. Another advantage from frequent exams is that students can use their returned exams that have been given feedbacks and the right answers for their study guides to prepare for their midterm or
In Patrick O’Malley’s essay “More Testing, More Learning”, he claims that the only way to improve students’ learning is frequently test. Malley knows that many college professors only use midterms and finals to judging students abilities. As a result, many students feel stressful about the test, and they fail the test. So Malley proposes that professors need to give more frequent brief exams. In this way, students would learn more efficiently, study more regularly, and have less anxiety.
If you’re sitting in and not at a desk — in other words, if you’re a student — good grammar pays off in different ways: with better grades and an edge in college and graduate-school admissions. Teachers have always looked favorably on well-written sentences, and grammar has become increasingly important on standardized tests. This book alerts you to material favored by the torturers — sorry, the test writers — and provides you with some exercises that help you become familiar with common testing formats. (If you’re not clutching a number 2 pencil, don’t feel left out. The skills in those exercises help you, too, by
Colleges value essays because they allow them to gain insight into who you are beyond the facts and figures of the application form. For you, this is the opportunity to present your most important strengths, especially those that may not be reflected elsewhere in your application. And it can and does happen that students on the academic borderline cross into the college promised land because of the power of their essays! By understanding the components of the essay and how to approach each of them, you will have the background information needed to tackle them. There is something to be learned from a 2,000-year-old general after
Jordan Taylor 4/24/12 Composition II Polites Reflective Statement In this course, College Composition II, I have learned many forms of writing effective argumentative pieces. The main thing I learned this year is how to effectively use sources to aid me in my argument. Along with that I learned that some sources are not credible and will not influence my writing much, if even at all. This helped me get better support in my arguments because I had credible sources that supported my argument. This course helped me utilize my sources better, made me realize my true freedom as a writer and understand how text may represent and have different meanings to other readers.
It also has a very defined thesis statement at the beginning "Online courses are an excellent way for busy professionals to gain advanced training and certifications or switch career paths. They can also be very effective for first-time job seekers who need specialized training. However, before signing up, here are a few factors that can ensure an online student's success." It easily caught my attention to continue reading and also let me know what I am getting into before actually starting reading the essay; I call it a "Sneak Peak". In "A Soul as Free as the Air: About Lucy Stone" I felt this was a character study which focuses on a specific person of interest.
