There are two kinds of abortions in the U.S., which are in-clinic abortions and the abortion pill. In-clinic abortion procedures range from about $300-$950 in the first trimester (Planned Parenthood, 2012). There is more than one kind on in-clinic abortions. Aspiration is the most common type of in-clinic abortion because it is used on women who are four months pregnant and less (Planned Parenthood, 2012). D&E, which stands for dilation and evacuation, is a type of in-clinic abortion that is used on women who are more than four months pregnant (Planned Parenthood, 2012).
A case study is examined to illustrate possible approaches to care and personal reflections of the author will be shared regarding issues of teenage pregnancy. In 2009 almost 410,000 infants were born to United States teenage girls between the ages of 15 and 19. Nearly two-thirds of births to women younger than 18 and more than half of those among 18 and 19-year-olds were a result of unintended pregnancies (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, 2011). This represents a teen birth rate as much as nine times greater than other developed countries and is especially high among black and Hispanic teens in southern states (Vital signs: teen pregnancy, 2011). Those at highest risk of teen pregnancy are girls from single parent homes, families with low socioeconomic status, and girls with a sister who became pregnant as a teenager (Talashek, Alba, & Patel, 2006).
Amongst those with the highest abortion rates were young adult between the ages of 20-24. I mean come on that’s killing of many different cultures. I found that many abortions are primarily done because they are inconvenient or unplanned that was 98%,1% was to to incest and1% to rape. So babies are dying primarily because they are not wanted and you know there are many resources out here. Its appalling 98% of abortions are murder because they are unplanned they do have condoms and other contraceptives out here.
According to Kristi Burton Brown in “Why Do More People Choose Abortion Over Adoption article” he says: “In the USA, there are approximately two million infertile couples waiting to adopt, many times regardless of the child’s medical problems such as Down Syndrome, Spina Bifida, HIV infection or terminally ill. Dr. Brad Imler, President of America’s Pregnancy Helpline, confirms the challenge of waiting couples by stating: “Only 1% of the Helpline’s annual 40,000 clients inquires about adoption.” If the woman doesn’t want to have a baby, they can choose adoption solution. There is a lot of families waiting for a baby, they are willing to take care, love the baby. You will make the other people happy instead of killing a baby and it will haunt the rest of your
1.8 to 7.6 cases per 100,000 persons per year in parts of the continental United States are diagnosed with Lupus. An analysis of 2004 data from the Nationwide Inpatient Sample estimated 13,000 hospitalizations with a principal diagnosis of SLE and 141,000 hospitalizations with principal or secondary diagnosis of lupus. approximately 1.5 million Americans and more than five million people worldwide are living with a form of lupus. Existing estimates range widely Although lupus primarily affects women in their early working and childbearing years, men, children, and teenagers can develop the disease as well. Women of color are two-to-three times more likely to develop lupus.
How would you feel being the mother of a child who was told that they only have mere months to live? This was the case for the mother of 2, Cheri O'Connell. Her younger daughter was suffering from over 20,000 seizers a year, this equated to roughly 60 per day. The debilitating effects of epilepsy had reached a bitter end on young Tara and her body couldn’t take much more. After hundreds of trailed and failed pharmaceutical drugs they resulted to using a controversial medication – Cannabis Oil.
Opinions on abortion vary for numerous reasons, but under certain circumstances, abortion may be the most appropriate action to take. “Approximately one-half of the 6.4 million pregnancies in 2001 in the United States were unplanned”(Henshaw, pg 90). That is about three million unplanned pregnancies. “These three million unplanned pregnancies include 1.3 million pregnancies that ended in abortion; 1.4 million live births that women reported were unplanned at the time of conception; and 411,000 miscarriages of unplanned pregnancies” (Henshaw, pg 91). Who really experience these unplanned pregnancies?
abortions each year. That is more than twice of the amount of adoptions each year. Although many people think abortion maybe easier than adoption, they're wrong. Abortion isn't easier because you're killing an innocent baby's life and they're very many risks and dangerous effects that can happen. Medical complications include: heavy bleeding, infection, incomplete abortion, sepsis, anesthesia, damage to the cervix, scarring of the uterine lining, uterine perforation, damage to internal organs, pelvic inflammatory disease, endometritis, and death.
Powerfully Pink: The Story of Susan G. Komen Rory Douthard BA507 July 12, 2014 John Troutman In the United States, breast cancer is the second leading cause of death amongst women. There are over 200,000 new cases reported each year, and so many more that go unreported. Unfortunately, approximately 40,000 women die of this disease, mainly because it was detected too late to change the prognosis. Even with early detection and treatment, which can lead to a positive outcome, breast cancer is more often detected once it has spread to other vital organs, which makes it harder to fight. This trend generally happens with the younger demographic, particularly in younger patients who are premenopausal and don’t have a good understanding of the disease.
Genetics and Lupus Introduction Lupus is an autoimmune disease that affects up to two million Americans[1]. The number of Americans actually affected may be much higher than this, because so many cases are mild and often misdiagnosed. As modern tracking methods were developed, patterns began to be evident. Most of the individuals who develop lupus are women, most are African Americans, Latinos, Asians, and Native Americans, most present with lupus between the ages of 15 and 45[2]. With lupus diagnosed at the rate of approximately 16,000 cases per year, this disease had created a serious health problem in the United States and research into possible causes, risk factors for, treatment, and cures were developed.
