In sociology of education are theories which have been grouped into two, namely the micro and macro theories which try to explain educational problems. However, there are two important theories which try to give an explanation on pupil’s academic performance, Therefore, the main aim of this academic writing is to discuss how pupil’s academic performance can be affected by teachers, using the two micro- sociological theories which are the labeling and the new sociological theories respectively.
