Michael Dell success story This story is about a billionaire who became a very successful entrepreneur at a very young age. This person called Michael Dell. Two things inspired Dell more than anything, first came his parents and the second was business. Michael Dell is a very committed guy, when he created plan, he will pursue it with full strength, for example; he made his $1,000 by just selling stamps at the age of 12 and can you imagine that? Selling stamps at such a young age and make $1,000 from that. Entrepreneurship---- Just like every other successful people, Dell started small. Most of his orders were placed through friends, and by steadily developing his business, he moved to a small office and hired a few people to take orders and upgrade machines. Later in 1983, Dell incorporated the company as Computer Corporation. in 1984. Dell started his company with $1,000 and the premise that he could beat his competitors by building computers to order and selling them directly to consumers. Management ----Michael Dell’s management style is constant analysis, he says: “there are a lot of things that go into creating success, I don’t like to do just the things I like to do, I like to do things that cause the company to succeed”. Successful business and leaders are constantly looking to improve their business, Michael Dell utilizes this to maximum advantage, from the early days, and Dell realized that a business must support itself from revenue generated and not through financial borrowing. He is also like spotting opportunities, business strategy, knowing business and innovates, learning and so on. Communications---Dell’s communication style is open, communication is essential to building trust and gaining commitment to the vision, new project launched, Dell wants everyone in Dell Inc. gets the clear message about the project.
