The Dalai Lama and Michael Bloomberg are recognized and respected for their people as warriors. The Dalai is the most influential figure in the Gelugpa lineage of Tibetan Buddhism. Michael has been the mayor of New York City for the last 10 years, and he is also the 11TH richest person in the United States. The world right now has several people that are good to compare, but these two complements my two alter egos. The people need to achieve a lot of things in life to earn the love of their people. I think Bloomberg and Lama have earned their people’s love because of their actions. However, I noticed that the Dalai Lama and Michael Bloomberg share perseverance and persistence. To begin with, the perseverance of both men to fight for what they believe is admirable. The Dalai Lama won the Nobel Peace Prize in 1989 one of the most prestigious awards of our times. Lama is also well known for his lifelong advocacy for Tibetans inside and outside Tibet. Michael has won several awards like honorary degree in Public Service and honorary doctorate of laws from the University of Pennsylvania. The Dalai Lama was born on 6 July, 1935 to a farming and horse trading family in the small village of Taktser, in the eastern border of the former Tibetan region of Amdo. He was one of seven siblings to survive childhood. Michael Bloomberg was born at St. Elizabeth's Hospital in the Brighton neighborhood of Boston on February 14, 1942. His family was Jewish, and his mother was Russian descendent. Both were born around the same era from humble families. On the other side, Dalai and Michael have a completely different way to see life, and the mode we should approach but the persistency shown by both is unique of great men.
