Assessment and Workplace Observation Anthony Pulido, Valerie Geiger, Cindy Chastain, Danielle Carter, Michelle Norman Axia College and University of Phoenix MGT307 September 22, 2011 * Introduction: The purpose of this paper is to discuss and document the results of the DISC Platinum Rule Assessment between the team members. The paper will provide an analysis of each members dimensions of behavior as outlined in their individual profile, along with a summary of predominate behavioral styles, a list of strengths and weaknesses, and finally each members outlook of the assessment. * Anthony Pulido: After taking the DISC Platinum Rule™ Assessment, my results returned stating I have a Dominance Style. Although, I do work effectively in group and team settings, I am the type of individual that takes initiative, meaning I am more of a take charge person. I have grown accustomed to be in positions of leadership and being part of decision making processes. The assessment goes on to state that Dominances accept challenges, take authority, and go headfirst into solving problems. They tend to exhibit great administrative and operational skills and work quickly and impressively by themselves. They tend to come on cool, independent and competitive with others, especially in a business environment. Dominances try to shape their environment to overcome obstacles en route to their accomplishments. They demand maximum freedom to manage themselves and others, and use their leadership skills to become winners. In any position that I assume, I commit to it 100 percent..., even if the position is not one that I am particularly interested in.
