Decision – Making Process Paper March 8, 2015 XMGT/230 02/06/2015 Decision – Making Process Paper Life is about proper decision-making. Every single person in this world is faced with a difficult decision that has to be made. For me, I had to decide to leave my current job to work for another. Although many would say, if the pay is better, I should take the chance and make the job change. However, when deciding to leave a current job for another, there is more that plays into effect.
This analogy works in reverse as well. every time you reinforce a bad habit, a new string binds tighter around your hands and it will become harder and will require more time to remove all the strings tying your hands together. 2) a negative habit can be broken by replacing it with a new, more desirable habit. Rather than simply deciding to stop eating junk food, replace this behavior with a better one, such as deciding what groceries you will shop for. Instead of saying you will start eating every 3-4 hours, plan a time on Sunday where you will cook all your meals in advance.
Based on a graph presented by David Cooper and Doug Hall in the report “Raising the Federal Minimum Wage to $10.10 Would Give Working Families, And the Overall Economy, a MuchNeeded Boost,” throughout the United States, 11.4 to 27.5% of children (varying by state) have parents who would be affected by the raise in minimum wage. Thus, raising the minimum wage would leave more money for parents of families in poverty to buy their children food, clothes, shoes, and other necessities that, in many low income cases, must be rationed. Amongst those who are struggling to survive off of minimum wage, in 2011, half were under the age of 25 (United State). Many college students struggle to balance time for academics, extracurricular activities, as well as finance: car payments, rent, student loans, food, gas, and many others. One article from USA Today, “How Much Would a MinimumWage Increase Help Students?” by Jackie Tempera, features a college student, Christin King.
Introduce a new product, increase promotion, and raise prices and cut costs are three separate and distinct alternatives. However, the company can only implement one of these alternatives due to management time pressures. I will analysis the three different alternatives for Shepard. For alternative 1 which is introduce a new product. This option would reduce demand for its existing hiking poles on a four-for-one basis and the
However, this situation would make the company incur more loss next year, which is about negative $ 293,586. In the mean time, Barb Shepard, the company’s owner, wants to sell the company soon, and she knows a purchase price would be determined by three main factors: the absolute level of profits, the rate of growth in profits, and future potential growth in the market. Barb Shepard also wants to reduce bank debts as soon as possible. Therefore, the company needs new strategic initiatives very much to improve operating profitability and move forward next year. Each of three vice presidents has rendered a separate and distinct strategic initiative, and they are “Introduce a new product”, “Increase promotion”, and “Raise prices and cut costs” respectively.
The Erih T should have asked the HI to do a study on RDH even before signing a contract. Whatever happened at RDH was pretty much predictable. Almost 50% turnover within 3 months cannot be a cost cutting but a question in the mind of people that why would someone do so. This would then affect the business because the entity which is in controversy has always suffered loss and took time to come on the track. It also shows that there was a miscommunication between the HI and Erih T as HI took the task as a long term plan and gradual change.
FJR has discussed the research with management and highly recommends that they do not open any new locations until further research has been done in other areas. It is very expensive and time consuming opening new locations and Kudler does not have the financial means to do so just yet. What Kudler Fine Foods needs to focus their attention on is other competitor in the market. They can offer coupons or special promotions towards maybe the first of the month which will attract consumers into purchasing more products because most consumers get paid at that time. Kudler will also advertise to the Asian community by having advertisements in their language.
I know that I will travel to a store farther from my house for something that taste good even if it is more expensive. Now think of three new products that you have purchased recently. Which of the 4P's of marketing seemed to have the biggest influence on what you bought and where? I purchased toilet paper, diapers and wipes at Dollar General because it was close to the house. I didn’t feel like going into Wal-Mart, which is about a twenty minute ride from my house.
That was not a good thing to do because it affected my metabolism and energy. I knew that I should try to eat several small meals during the day. I used to skip breakfast but not anymore. This was a crucial mistake in my path to weight loss. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day.
People can get foods all year around and be sent foods they want to their markets in less than 24 hours. The documentary ends with saying that we vote to change the industry three times a day with the foods we eat. Buying locally grown meat or produce can help America change the industry to cause less demand at the factories. This can help them so they have time to fix their ways the right way and humane way. Instead of putting money into these food monopolies, we can fight to put money into our local economy and make the industry safe and the well-being of human and animal
