Martin Luther King, Jr.'s speech I Have a Dream on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial in 1963 celebrating the centennial of the signing of the Emancipation Proclamation remains one of his most intelligent and poetic speeches in the American mind. It succeeded at accomplishing this by a dynamically synthesized use of communication techniques while seeking to avoid division, as well as making potentially offensive judgments against a country where black men and women were still segregated. His accomplishment is in inducing the listener to not only participate in his dream, but remember it forever, long after the militant days of civil unrest were over. His knowledge of pathos, logos and other rhetorical techniques served King well. Keith D. Miller writes that King's impetus for carefully designing the speech was determined when he was asked to give it in front of 250,000 people at the monument, as well as to having it televised and sent over radio channels.
In this paper, Danial’s thesis seems to be clear on what he is going to write about. Danial is explaining how citizenship can save America through Barber; the author. He points out some strong statements where he is able to back up it up. As Danial explained ”Every nation in the world looked at America with admiration and not only did they respect America, but they believed in the leadership offered by America. The leadership did not come from the government however; it came from hard working citizens who were more concerned about the well being of their nation than their own lives” (2).
Martin Luther King Jr’s writings, teachings and speech’s are timeless; they left people rethinking their attitudes towards African Americans and racism. He spoke of a compelling brotherhood and sisterhood of all American citizens, and how he one day wished that all brothers and sisters, white or black could unite as one and form a unity. Martin Luther King made it known to the nation and the world that civil rights and justice should be upheld for not only white citizens but black citizens too. He was one of the most influential people of the 20th century and since 1983 America has named a holiday after him, to look back and

Martin Luther King, in my eyes, is considered one of the greatest role models for young people of all ages and races. It's as if no matter where you grow up in the world, wether it be in the U.S. or on the other side of the world, you will come to hear of Dr. King and his work. Another quote I found interesting was, "Injustice anywhere is a treat to justice everywhere. "This is what I think makes him a great role model, because he shows that there are always ways to make a difference, and to be equil is to be one as a whole. I admire and look up to Dr. King and his lessons because I've hurd the stories of struggle and hurt that people, who were just a little different, had to undergo.

Being a good leader is to instill the confidence and skill worth of the ones that aspire to accept the challenge of change. Churchill’s success has been measured through the difficult challenge that faced his country during the battle of World War 2. Churchill was also a measurable success because of his passion in problem resolution and the ability to take the risks needed to help better shape and support his country. Through history and as well as present politicians being successful does not always end with being a good leader or having great management skills, however the ability to continue to bring encouragement and growing faith in those you are leading is a measured success that only the future will be able to measure. Leadership is often not recognized until years later when we have had the opportunity to review the actions and plans of the individual.
