In this situation, duplicate testing is done and medications may be prescribed that are not safe for the patient. The use of the emergency room as a primary care provider and the disjointed care of patients in the emergency room are two of the many challenges that healthcare providers and governments face when a patient with chronic health problems loses their healthcare coverage. According to Gillen (2010), there is a connection between the numbers of HAIs and the standards of wound management and wound dressings. Palliative care and comfort care measures are another area that significantly impacts the health care provider also today. As we have made so many advances in medical care, we must also look at the quality of life that remains when we have prolonged someone’s life.
