Meal Plan versus cooking at home I prefer a meal plan to cooking by myself. I think a meal plan is better than cooking at home because I can save money and time; I can eat a variety nutritious food and I feel relaxed in the dining hall. Meal plan saves me a lot of problems. There are three following reasons why I prefer having a meal plan. First, a meal plan saves my money and time going to the supermarket. I have a meal plan so I don’t have to purchase kitchen wares. I don’t have to pay high price to buy meat, vegetables and fruits. In addition, I don’t have to waste my time to wait for the bus or walk in the supermarket to choose what I need. Using a meal plan solved these problems for me because I have already got what I need. Thanks to the meal plan, right now I don’t have to bother to go to supermarket every week like I used to. On the other hand, if I cook at home, I have to buy bowls, plates, pans, pots, forks, knives, and so on. It will cost me lot of money to buy these tools. I also have to buy meat, vegetables, milk, bread, and fruits every week. I think the vegetables in the supermarket are very expensive. In addition, it is also inconvenient for me to go to the supermarket. It is far away from my dormitory to the supermarket. I don’t have a car, so I can’t go shopping as I want usually. Under most circumstances, I take the PRT or buses to go shopping in the downtown center. However, the PRT closes early on Saturdays, and it doesn’t work on Sundays. Even though we can take buses for free with the mountaineers ID card, buses only come twice in one hour. What’s more, there is no bus to go to the supermarket on Sundays. The transportation here is relatively inconvenient. For instance, in Morgantown it would always take me a great bunch of the time to go to the supermarket if I want to buy some necessities.
