McBride Financial: Risk Assessment, Analysis and Mitigation for Boise Office Location CMGT 442 April 3, 2013 McBride Financial: Risks and Mitigation Smith Consulting recently conducted an information technology requirements interview with Hugh McBride of McBride Financial so the technology requirements could be recorded for creation of a project plan. During the interview it was revealed that McBride Financial has a headquarters in Boise, Idaho and is looking to expand their branches into South Dakota, North Dakota, Wyoming and Montana. Since the home office is located in Boise, Smith consulting will be focusing on the risks associated with that office location and the mitigation of those risks. Hugh McBride envisions McBride Financial being an industry leader when it comes to utilizing technology to provide mortgage services. McBride plans to allow online mortgage applications via their consumer website to better service their customers. Also, McBride would like to have kiosks available in each office so customers can conduct business without having to meet with someone. Initially in the Boise office, there will be two to three brokers that will access the McBride network with their own personal laptops. The company plans to provide the back office network, internet access and peripherals such as printers and fax machines. For the Boise office, Hugh McBride stated that the company is looking to lease office space on the ground floor either in an office park or a strip office building. His ideal location would be in downtown Boise in the heart of the business district however the company ended up leasing two separate spaces within the same building outside the district.
