Marketing your Dreams- Project #4- Book Report Part 1: Outline / Summary of Book: “Marketing your Dreams” written by Pat Williams, is a business book that outlines the life and business lessons from the famous marketing pioneer and business man William “Bill” Veeck. Bill Veeck marketed, promoted and sold baseball like no one before and no one since, marketing your dreams takes these lessons, traits, characteristics and examples that Bill Veeck demonstrated that made him into the person who he is and to show readers why and how Bill Veeck achieved such a high level of success in the sports marketing and the baseball industry. These traits, characteristic and examples are extracted from real life events and written into the clearest form for readers to use and learn from these traits to become better businessmen, promoters or marketers. Marketing your dreams consisted with the reoccurring theme of always being and staying positive, Bill Veeck was one of the best at always staying positive no matter the time of day and no matter what obstacles he faced good or bad, his positive view on all aspects of life translated into success and enjoyment that he had for his job and life. Each chapter within the book outlined a specific business or life lesson that would benefit the reader, these lessons range from always entertain your audience to treating people with the same level of enthusiasm and same positive energy. Within the book readers would also gain insight and learn about the life of Bill Veeck, what he was like a person, his childhood, his relationship with the people who surrounded him, his family and his positive sprit who made him who he was as a person. Biography of William “Bill” Veeck: William Louis “Bill” Veeck Jr. was born on February 9th 1914 in Hinsdale, Illinois. His father William Veeck Sr. was a sports writer and President of the Chicago Cubs.
