Introduction 1. How does the fast food industry embody the best and worst of American capitalism? The fast food industry gave people like Carl Karcher the opportunity to work hard and strike it rich, and make it on their own. However, it also led to the creation of huge conglomerations that peddle unhealthy food and pay low wages. The large companies created outweighed the benefits brought to the working people of America at the time.
A.S.A.P food is food that is processed as soon as possible and distributed as soon as possible. These companies compete for costumers daily in many different manners. So the question is why are people lead to the consumption of fast food in the first place? Some typical causes of fast food are the additive taste of the food, the advertising of food, the expense of the food, both parents are working, and longer hours at work. Everyday companies are trying to find new ways to keep customers at their restaurants.

The staff’s service is even fast and friendly. Willie Mae’s Home-style Kitchen is one of the best soul food restaurants in Beaumont because of the family filled atmosphere, excellent service, and the mouth-watering, succulent cuisine.

Since popcorn is one of the top snacks consumed in America it is important to know which brand popcorns pops the most, considering the fact that there are expensive brands and inexpensive brand and its the perception that expensive brand popcorns will pop the most. The following experiment is conducted to determine which brand of popcorn will yield the most kernels popped then un-popped. Problem Statement Do all the brands pop the same amount of kernels or different brands yield different amount of popped and un-popped popcorn?. This experiment will show the brand that yields the most popped kernels. Relevance to the question Many different expensive and inexpensive brands might have different rate of kernels being popped and un-popped.
This is in Kalamazoo, they claim to go back to about 1919 and they do the Coney’s right in the window as you would like to see and the buns are nice and steamy. Now you see they use it’s the kind of a purple onion, but it’s a wonderful Coney Island. This is a Port Huron chain, kind of interesting in that they have three restaurants and they serve their Coney’s over the top, which means they do a Detroit style sauce. They use a skinless hotdog, which is a little bit different, but they put the chili sauce over the mustard and onions, they put it on top. I was in one of their places, their downtown locations, I said “can I just have one the normal way” and they told me I couldn’t.

For the average working class family living life on the go, it can save a lot of time and money. Also, the industry itself creates and perpetuates millions of jobs for the economy (often with low wages and poor benefits). The most common reason people continue to eat fast food, despite their knowledge of the negative effects, is the simple fact that it tastes good. The addictive and yet fattening qualities associated with fast food leave people constantly craving one more bite.

Business executives of fast food restaurants do not consider the well being of their consumers because that same greed they have, doesn’t allow them to worry about them. In chapter two of the book, “Welcome to Fatland,” there is a focus on how executives came up with different ways to earn more profits and entice customers to buy their products. The best marketing strategy they have developed is “bigness.” Basically, this strategy consists of offering larger quantities to consumers. The cost to the company to produce bigger goods is only slightly different than producing the regular sized, and they could charge consumers a higher amount.
