Harley-Davidson has been a pioneer in the motorcycle industry since 1905, and with the use of the World Wide Web this long standing success stands to grow. The market places have changed and it is a requirement that Harley-Davidson keeps abreast with this change. Firstly, providing different media outlets with information about Harley-Davidson motorcycles should be priority of management. The use of the internet would aid in the company’s growth and expansion as it would be able to cater to customers globally. 2. Secondly, the internet as a marketing tool and can provide great feedback and possible sales. Harley-Davidson is globally known and has big markets in Europe and Asia. Through use of the internet consumers can find a local dealer and read about company’s history. This would allow Harley-Davidson to grow and evolve yet remain current. 3. Thirdly, most of its competitors offer online services to cater to their customers; whether it maybe the group chats, blogs or social media pages, if Harley-Davidson even considers offering virtual services of such nature profits and client base would immensely increase. 2. What different roles could Harley-Davidson’s Web site play for Harley owners, for people shopping for a motorcycle, and for people just interested in motorcycles in general? (45 points) There are numerous roles that could be filled by Harley-Davidson’s website for people shopping for motor cycles and those interested in buying motor cycles. One significant role is giving buyers and perspectives buyers all the information they need about the Harley-Davidson company and also allowing customers and perspective customers to give suggestions
