Although she did not major in illustration or some type or art, Morales’s illustrations in picture books have been highly recognized. As a child, Yuyi enjoyed the art of drawing. She would spend time recreating family portraits, images from paperback graphic novels, and drawings of herself. She learned how to draw at different levels beginning with the drawings she did of herself. Paying close attention to the lines, shadows, and many different aspects of art is how she learned to make good quality illustrations in her future books and those of others.
It started through her paternal grandmother, who shaped her artistic edges by teaching to play the piano and exposing her to some of the greatest composers in the world. Beethoven was who she admired the most, igniting her curiosity in other composers, painters and sculptors from the same era, which influenced her life and her art. Rock stars want to be her, and perfect housewives live through her. In Kat’s opinion, some of the most random viewers passionately tune in to her hit show “LA Ink”, which follows her life and her job as a tattoo artist, portraying her as one of the world’s most eminent tattoo artists. Kat herself is aware of this impact, as people very often approach her on the streets, asking questions about the stories of her many tattoos that cover her body.
For this piece we were allowed to choose to make what ever we wanted as long as we told our professor about it first and showed her a sketch of it in our sketchpads. I chose to make a vase for my mother. I thought at first it was not going to be hard but I would soon realize later in my journal entries just how challenging making a vase is. I started off by using the techniques I was shown to build up the vase. When

The children in my class love the rodeo and the theme I picked is perfect for all of them. The kindergarten class (ages five and six) will need to have learning centers to help them learn the basics of their A, B, C’s and to learn how to play nicely with other children. Cognitive The writing center will help with learning their vocabulary, how to create, and how to draw and place words and pictures. Two or three students will work together to make a poster or a sign for a birthday, parent or some other event. They will need to go through the magazines, old Christmas, birthday, or valentine cards for a picture to go with the event and then work at what the poster or sign is to say.
Firstly, amateur talents in drawing and watercolour were encouraged as part of a good bourgeois education in the upper-class milieu. For instance, Berth Morisot and her sister Edma, both French painters, were encouraged at an early age to porsue art studying with two private art instructors Geoffry-Alphonse Chocarne and later with Joseph Guichard. Secondly, other women turned for education to the studios of established artists or to private academies often at great expense. Courses were based on the mastery of human anatomy through the study of the live nude model. Lastly, many women turned to portraiture, genre painting, landscape and still life.

Falk attended a teacher’s college where she studied both painting and drawing at UBC. Not only was Gracie Falk a painter, but she later became a sculptor, installation and performance artist as well. She was inspired by the elements of everyday life such as fruit, shoes, women’s clothing, reading a book, eggs, and many other things (“Underrated Canadian artist: Gathie Falk”). She found the simplicity of life beautiful, and that it should be magnified and not taken for granted. Many of her works tend to hold feminine and masculine elements in a unique, serious, and charming way.
In the book, Girl with a Pearl Earring written by Tracy Chevalier, art plays a big role, because throughout the book both of the main characters help each other through their artistic abilities. Throughout the book, Griet’s master, Johannes Vermeer, learns a lot of new information from his maid, which helps him improve his paintings for the better. One day, Johannes Vermeer was painting a picture of his patron’s wife, and as Griet was doing her duties in the studio, she found one change that she would like to do in the painting. She waited for her master, to make the change in the picture, but he didn’t, so Griet “decided she would have to make change herself” (Chevalier 133). Griet thought that if she made the change it would make the picture more interesting and better.
