Odds of dating a supermodel: 1 in 88,000. Odds of being trapped in an elevator: 1 in 24,528. Odds of bowling a perfect game: 1 in 11,500. Odds of an injury while shaving: 1 in 6,585 Odds of catching a ball at a major league baseball game: 1 in 563. Odds of tripping while texting: 1 in 10. Odds of having the perfect March Madness Bracket: 1 in 9,000,000,000,000,000,000 Over the past decade, the March Madness College Basketball tournament has become just that, madness. College basketball by itself is a very popular sport, as some find it more entertaining and enjoy it more than the professional league. With 346 different teams, there are so many different teams to root for, people love to watch underdogs win and the future stars are born. But, what is it about March Madness? It’s the largest national single-elimination competition anywhere in the entire world. Every game, all 67 of them, there is no second chance for the loser. In the tournament, its winner take all, loser goes home. The tournament is known for one thing, the bracket. Million upon millions of brackets are filled out, and every year Americans are disappointed they didn’t have the almighty perfect bracket. Over the madness 40 million brackets are filled out, and the number only gets bigger every year. Roughly 1 in 10 Americans fill out a bracket. For the 7th year in a row, Sportsbook.com put up an eight figure reward of $14 million for anyone who had the perfect bracket.
