OJ and Nicole’s kids, Sydney and Justine, ages 8 and 5 were sleeping in an upstairs bedroom. Evidence found led the police to believe that OJ Simpson was the prime murder suspect. Nicole had been stabbed multiple times in the head and neck and had defence wounds on her hands. Simpson was acquitted after a lengthy trial that lasted over nine months which was presided over by Judge Lance Ito. This case-trial demonstrates a social science phenomenon because it illustrates murder, domestic violence and intense family oriented problems, all in which have a relationship to social science.
Strangulation was his preferred method, the same method he often used to kill animals as a child. After the body of his first victim, Taunja Bennett was found, the media’s attention surrounded Laverne Pavlinac, a woman who falsely confessed to killing Bennett with her abusive boyfriend (The serial killer hit list). Jesperson was then upset the he was not getting the attention, so he first drew the smiley face on the bathroom wall where he wrote an anonymous confession for the murder, hundreds of miles away from

Robert William "Willie" Pickton (born October 26, 1949)[2] of Port Coquitlam, British Columbia, Canada is a former pig farmer[3] and serial killer convicted of the second-degree murders of six women. [4][5] He is also charged in the deaths of an additional twenty women, many of them prostitutes and drug users from Vancouver's Downtown Eastside. In December 2007 he was sentenced to life in prison, with no possibility of parole for 25 years —the longest sentence available under Canadian law for murder. During the trial's first day of jury evidence, January 22, 2007, the Crown stated he confessed to forty-nine murders to an undercover police officer posing as a cellmate. The Crown reported that Pickton told the officer that he wanted to kill another woman to make it an even 50, and that he was caught because he was "sloppy".

Anne and Margot Frank were named deceased in March of 1945, just weeks before the concentration camp was freed. They died from a typhus epidemic, which broke out in March 1945. Anne and her sister's corpses were dumped into a mass grave which they were later buried together. Anne's mother was killed the January of that year; and her father survived. Anne Frank is likely the most famous Jew that was killed during World War II.
An American woman, Minnie Vautrin, who kept a diary which has been likened to that of Anne Frank wrote: "How many thousands were mowed down by guns or bayoneted we shall probably never know. For in many cases oil was thrown over their bodies and then they were burned." One diabolical means of torture was to bury victims to their waist and watch them get ripped apart by German shepherds. “Witnesses saw Japanese soldiers strip victim naked and direct German shepherds to bite the sensitive areas of his body. The dogs not only ripped open his belly but jerked out his intestines along the ground for a distance”.

WARNING: FOR STRONG AND COMPASSIONATE HEARTS ONLY: On November 22, 1989: Junko Furuta was a girl in Japan who was held captive in a house by four boys. There, she was raped countless times, then tortured to death in unimaginable and incomprehensible ways for 44 days. She was 16 years old. The crime: In November of 1988, Boy A (then 18), Boy B (Jo Kamisaku, then 17; Kamisaku was a new family name he took after being released from prison [1]), Boy C (then 16) and Boy D (then 17) from Tokyo abducted and held Furuta, a second year high school (grade 11) student from Saitama Prefecture in Misato, for 44 days. They kept her captive in the house owned by the parents of Boy C. To forestall a manhunt, Boy A coerced Furuta into calling her own parents and telling them that she had run away from home, but was with “a friend” and was not in danger.
