I agree with this because I could not imagine living in the world and having no sympathy for anyone or anything. He point out that these people in which we call psychopaths, can have different explanations behind why they lack this important key to being “normal”. Some grew up without love or empathy from his or her parents. It is common to find many different factors of being a psychopath because something occurred (or did not occur) within ones childhood. The setting and environment in which a child is raised can highly effect his or her future.
Creon should not continue as king because he is not a very good leader, he is too stubborn and proud, believes in different laws and gods as his people. For instance, Creon was not a great leader that Thebes deserved. A good leader is someone who considers the impact of what he says and does on others. Creon makes all of his decisions on his own and would not admit that he is wrong. Creon wants the people to obey him and respect him, but he has not given them a reason to.
The innocent mind truly has no filter, and it is completely up to the parents to reinforce the idea of what is wrong, and what is right. And with time, this is how a young boy would eventually learn that it isn’t correct to act in such a way to a figure of authority. Conversely, because of Christopher’s condition, he doesn’t really have that filter. Another example from the novel is on page 184 when Christopher is on his journey to London and quickly becomes overwhelmed as he isn’t a fan of new
I try to be polite and friendly in order to create trust, people feel that you are approachable and tend to communicate better when they trust you. When communicating with the children I make sure that I am approachable, I feel that it is important to smile around the children as this can help them to feel comfortable around you. When communicating I need to make sure that I use the correct tone of voice. I like to get down to the child’s level so I don’t seem intimidating. By using their interests I can bond with the children to create a positive

Gatsby's social standing allowed him to be generous, because everyone expected it of him after attending or hearing about one of his lavish parties. Nick was below the high social standings of Tom, Daisy, and Jordan, and also below the lower social standing of Gatsby, but members of both classes liked and trusted him. As Nick said in chapter one of The Great Gatsby, Tom wanted Nick to like him as well. Somehow, Nick could transcend the barriers of certain classes, which made it easy for anyone to trust him, whether it is Tom with talking about his mistress, or Gatsby revealing his true identity. Wealth played a major part in The Great Gatsby.
To the children, school is their way of life in the village. While in classrooms they have a routine and a teacher to uphold this day to day order. Because of this structure, the students have very strict lives which must be followed, otherwise there is punishment. While no forms of chastisement are described in the story, one can deduce that not following the rules in school can lead to an undesired consequence. Yet without school rules being constantly pushed onto the children, there is no clear concept of punishment of any kind for an action.
The only person that could get away with these actions would be an infant or very young child who is still trying to learn how to use eating utensils, but definitely not someone who has learned that this is not the proper way to behave in public. These norms that we have been taught and that society expects us to follow have very strong roots and people become very offended when someone acts outside of these norms. Although it is frowned upon to step outside the social norms we would not have some of the things that we have today if it weren’t for people like Martin Luther King Jr. or Benjamin Franklin who both refused to follow the same path as everyone else and choose to break those norms. I would like to add a quote that I found online that I thought is very appropriate to the subject of this paper “Originality implies being bold enough to go beyond accepted norms.” (Anthony
Especially with foster children, foster children are always treated like they aren’t smart. People don’t push foster children to have high expectations for them to succeed. Children just believe what people are telling them and not being able to have the confidence to prove them wrong. (Spark Action) Most children don’t even have any knowledge about college or even crosses their mind. This is because they go home to home, that they feel they won’t be in a place to worry about that.
