Managing Time as an Adult Learner Leron Greene COLL100 I054 WIN13 American Public University System Miguel Sanchez Managing Time as an Adult Learner Managing time as an adult learner is important because if you don’t manage your time properly you as a student can fall behind in your classes and the results of that is not passing classes or obtaining your degree. Many people believe there is not enough time in the day to accomplish everything they need to get done. Many adult students are parents, spouses, or even have a full time jobs. When you have all those things going on at once you seem like you don’t have time to focus on school. Yes that is a lot for one person but, when you can manage your time wisely you should be able to accomplish your goals you have set for yourself. With time managing adult students even returning students can get schooling done on a timely manner. Procrastination is one of the main reason many students get behind in their school lessons. Many people don’t see this when they have so much going on in their lives. It all can lead to they saying they is going to do this assignment on this day and then when that day come they don’t do it so the assignment is put off till another day and so on. Away to avoid procrastination is time management. Having a set schedule as an adult student is very important. Making a listing with everything that needs to be done and order it from what is more important to least important, that way you are able to get more things done and budget your time wisely. Many adult students have to deal with having full time jobs working 40 hours or more a day, so they have to come home and find time to do homework. If the student make a schedule to do assignments on breaks or free time it will be a lot easier therefore they can just focus on the harder assignments later on when they are home. Some adult
