The idea of a KM system is to enable employees to have a ready access to the organization’s documented base of facts, sources of information and solution. Successful companies are able to acquire, codify, and transfer knowledge more effectively and with greater speed than the competition. KM is the name given to the set of systematic actions that an organization can take to obtain the greatest value from the knowledge available to it. Protect your company against the risk of decline in domestic sales by exporting, using the Internet, licensing or franchising your industrial products. If your product is seasonal (toys), spread the selling of those toys to overseas markets to offset domestic decline at certain times in the year. Instead of generating the bulk of your revenues and profits at the end of a year in North America, focus on generating comparable sales in the first quarter of a year in other parts of the world. Offer new services that complement your industrial products in order to boost profits. This segment of marketing involves all countries at every level of development; even the least-developed countries are seeking computer technology (China and India, for example) and sophisticated data banks to aid them in advancing their economics.
