When a clear, consistent direction is defined, it is much easier to provide proper ethics training for current and future employees, as well as ensure that both employees and clients alike are treated fairly/ equally. The whole process of benchmarking is to identify the best practice in relation to the product or process within the particular industry. This benchmarking technique is a management tool through which a plan for evaluation, measurement, and improvement is implemented. It seems as though with our team these tasks have been completed. Within the actual business and the shift workers we have to make sure that we identify the best practice for each shift in which there are many different tasks listed in the column chart. I took over role as leader for the project. It had been discussed since I was the “most organized” I would be the one to look over everyone. Since we were all friends and very close I decided to take a friendly approach to looking over everything. I used the individualized consideration leadership theory while working on this project.
