Pablo G Rodriguez Music 120 Live Performance Review Mana’ Drama Y Luz World Tour 2012 Mana’ is an internationally know Latin rock band from Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico. The band has sold more than 20 million albums worldwide and their career has spanned for three decades. The band has won three American Grammy Awards and five Latin Grammy Awards. The band’s name means “Positive Energy (http://www.europanas.com/grupomana-en.htm)”. The band consists of Fher Olvera, is the vocalist and the one who founded the band in 1985. The other member’s of the band are Alex Gonzalez who plays the drums, Juan Calleros who plays bass guitar, and the last added member to the band is Sergio Vallin who plays electric guitar. During their live performances, the band travels with guest musicians but they are not part of the Band. Today, “Mana’ is considered the biggest-selling and touring Latin rock group. Last year the band tied Britney Spears with eight sold-out shows at Los Angeles Staples Center. On April 16, 2012, the band returned to Los Angeles for a record breaking three sold out nights at the Staples Center jumping past Britney Spears for a record of eleven shows”( http://www.billboard.biz/bbbiz/industry/touring/mana-jumps-past-britney-spears-in-record-1006779752.story). On May 1st, 2012, Mana’ performed at the Pepsi Center for their second leg of their Drama Y Luz World Tour here in Denver, Colorado. The band had not performed a show in Denver for over ten years. The show lasted for 2 hours and twenty minutes. The band started the show with their hit “Oye Mi Amor”. The crowd was very energetic and sang along throughout the entire show. During the beginning of the show the stage had a white lace looking drop that covered the front of the stage.
