Cosmetic beauty allows you to be diverse and express yourself, it also allows you to try to test and come up with many different looks. Generally speaking one day you could change your look, and be chic and sexy, while on another day you could calm your appearance down and have a more innocent and sweet look. Her "womanly features" emphasized to show that she was respected because of what she has naturally, and her ability to reproduce. Barbie, on the other hand, is highly superficial. People look up to her now because she is beautiful, and is successful within her career as she has evolved to become other beings such as Barbie Police and Barbie Doctor. But the biggest difference with her is that achieving her looks may be highly unlikely.
Normally, most women love putting make-up on in order to enhance their physical appearance. Some of the basic reasons are to gain self-confidence and, for very young women, to appear older. Women often feel that they look very plain and unattractive without makeup or accessories. For any woman getting ready on a daily basis is a process, and that process gets much longer when she knows she is going on a first date. In another advertisement, a dark color poor girl used the skin whitening cream become white and then she got married with a rich boy. And in the most of their promotion, there always has a silhouette of a girl’s face which is lined up dark to light, and as the girl becomes fairer she also becomes happier. These promotions seem to tell customers the fair skin is a necessity for success and the people with dark skin would have fewer opportunities to get good jobs, become successful or get married with a good person. Many Indian people think this kind of advertising is racist.
