aThe career that I have chosen is to be a pediatric nurse. In order to be a pediatrician, you have to know how to be very patient with children. The child or children ages usually ranges from newborn infants until they become a certain age in their teenage years. I already know that some pediatrician are usually recommended by the parents of some children because whomever that pediatrician may be, probably have been known throughout the family. A child’s health care is the important concern of a pediatrician. A pediatrician is a doctor who specializes in pediatrics. They put their skills to use to care for children from infants throughout their teenage years. Parents prefer to have their children treated by nurses and pediatricians because children have special health care needs and those certain needs would only be left up to a pediatrician because that’s what pediatricians are for. Pediatrician can perform physical examination, measure vital statistics, take blood and urine samples, and prescribes certain medication for sick children. In order to make sure that the child/children are well taken care of, the doctor must be able to explain clearly enough for the parents(s) to know what type of medication to give the child, when to take the medication, and how much the child should take in order for that child to get well. In addition to being a pediatrician, you must form the ability of knowing how to cope with the children. In other words, pediatricians have to know how to make the child/children feel comfortable and not scared by gaining their trust. Letting them know that you want physically hurt them. Pediatric nurses work in doctor offices, clinics, hospitals, schools, and surgical centers. Wages and salaries range from $48,000 to $65,000 a year depending on the level of education and experience.
