Conquering Fear I have always heard about the hype of the movie Good Will Hunting, but never have I had the privilege of being able to watch it. I felt that this movie would be perfect to discuss the overall theme and message that it is trying to tell us. This film was released October 1st, 1998 directed by Gus Van Sant, starring Matt Damon as Will Hunting, Ben Affleck as his best friend Chuckie Sullivan and Robin Williams as Sean McGuire. Will Hunting is a mathematical prodigy who does not utilize his skills and works as a janitor at Boston’s prestigious MIT. Once discovered of his secret talents by Professor Lambeau, Will’s life goes into a whirlpool of changes that he never anticipated coming.
His sole objective after his release is to inflict vengeance upon all of the people who had betrayed him in his life. These include his former wife who cheats on him with his one time friend, who also happens to be the one responsible for sending him to prison. It also includes his one time mentor, Rauf, who taught him that there is honor and legitimacy in stealing from the rich. When Said is released from prison he finds his old mentor, and confronts him. Now a member of the wealthy social class they once despised, Rauf wants nothing to do with the friendship he and Said once shared, and so Said marks him as a traitor.
Now Chuck Closes Portraits just take Rembrandts talent to a whole new level. I could possibly place a real photograph and one of Chuck Closes portraits on a table and nobody would realize that it’s not a photograph at all. Both of these artists attention to detail is still basically unmatched today in my opinion. Both true artists that have a serious love for art. Sources: (All
The king rants about how he was a pirate who lost his crew, robbed the night prior, and put ashore off a steamboat moneyless. Regardless of his misfortune he was glad because poor as he was, he was a changed man; to which they felt pity and shouted, “Take up a collection for him, take up a collection!” (Twain 119). The church people just handed the money over as if it were nothing special. The king’s ability to con people like this will cause someone to get them back someday. Twain points out much hypocrisy throughout the novel.
Come play something for me” (Act I Scene I). It is after this lesson the audience is truly introduced to the significance of the piano, due to Boy Willie’s reaction after finding out Maretha does not know what the markings mean. However, the figurative music lesson, the teaching of one’s heritage, is the main message behind Wilson’s use of music throughout the play. Through music in this play, the family is connected with their inheritance and their ancestry. Specifically, Wilson’s use of the song “Berta Berta” was a way for the men to relive their common history at Parchman Farm.

Once he finds out this is true he blinds himself and banned his self from civilization forever. He is the most tragic hero because fate was a main part of the tragedy. Oedipus rose to be king then fell to become a blind person who committed incest. Hamlet main goal was to avenge his father. Hamlet’s father’s ghost appears to Hamlet telling him what happened and to avenge him.
All too conveniently, he runs into the monster who confesses to the crime and tells Victor this story (if you're keeping track, we're now in a story-within-a-story-within-a-story): When Frankenstein fled, he found himself alone and hideous. No one accepted him (being a corpse-parts conglomeration can do that to you), except for one old blind man. He hoped that the blind man's family of cottagers would give him compassion, but even they drove him away. When he ran across William, he killed the boy out of revenge. In short, he's ticked off that his maker created him to be alone and miserable, and so would Frankenstein please make him a female companion?
In “Hamlet” byWilliam Shakespeare, Hamlet experienced acts of betrayal by individuals in his inner circle and reciprocated with acts of revenge which ultimately resulted in his his death. In the novel, Hamlet, the main character was portrayed as an intelligent university student who returned home to attend his father’s funeral. The first incident of betrayal Hamlet experienced occurred when Claudius, Hamlet's uncle/stepfather /King, killed his father and took control effectively robbing Hamlet of the crown and the chance to be King. Hamlet adored his father and was devastated when his mother, Gertrude, had an incestuous relationship with his uncle who she married so quickly after his father’s death that ..the funeral baked meats…did furnish forth the marriage tables. 1.2.184-185.
