When you think about America, you probably think of justice, freedom, bravery, perseverance, equality, and blessings. These qualities make America unique. America has also shown many other good qualities such as respect, responsibility, and trust. For example, our country has demonstrated bravery by sending out armies to protect us. We have even sent out armies to other countries who can’t defend themselves.
Every American at that point feels great pride for our country and the service members. It was a great way to leash in every proud American who loves their country. This segment also engages ethos since it is Oprah Winfrey,
Bush’s speech heavily contributed to the use of his tones. Throughout the speech he uses relatively simple language; This was done so that he could unite the citizens of America and give them a sense of fearfulness. He did this by using Anaphora and constantly using words such as “our”, “us” and “we”. The use of these words made people realize that America is in this together as a nation, and in this case no one is an outsider or minority as they are all fighting against one common threat. Those words that were used by Bush are also essential because they represent solidarity.
Americas are very patriotic people. A lot of people take pride in being from the United States of America, because we have so much freedom. Believing in your natural rights, having pride in your country, and rightfully knowing all your rights and understanding them. Being an American is not just living in the country, but being able to love it, contribute to it and willing to call yourself an American. Being able to be proud of the country that your from is great, but being able to understand the constitution and the bill of rights is even better.
He would do everything in his power to keep our freedom. At a time like this the American public needed hope, and confidence. They also needed to be able to have faith in the new president, in this case Harry Truman, and I think Truman did an excellent job at giving the American public the ability to trust in him and the confidence to believe that we still had a good shot at winning this
Decision Points Review In former United States President George W Bush’s memoir, Decision Points, leadership is exemplified to its upmost quality. Equipped with Christian ethics, nigh flawless integrity, a business degree from Harvard, steadfast tenacity for protecting American citizens, and a “good ole” southern drawl, George W. Bush has arguably been one of the most decisive, direct, and forward moving of all United States presidents. The events that took place following his Oath of Office, on the day of September 11th will never escape the minds of Americans, and because of Bush’s direct action, neither will that escape the minds of terrorism around the world. The impact Bush had on not only the U.S, but also the entire world during his
Anna Lacy AP Language and Composition; p6 Mrs. McFeely 22 March 2013 The Neon Sign A truly American Audience seeks literature that sparks the human- and specifically American- principles upon which the country was initially built. Ayn Rand is significant to an American Audience for this reason. She brings together the values of egoism, Capitalism, individualism, romantic realism and logic- the components of her philosophy, Objectivism, in her philosophically and metaphysically educational literary works. She enlightens, or reminds, the public about the means to achieve true and genuine happiness by reaching the best possible version of themselves. Rand is to be considered an American hero, thus extremely influential to any audience member she reaches, based on the practical American values she revives in her work.
Barack Obama uses patriotism, faith, and religion to evoke passion and inspiration in the audience to show that the United States of America is not just a liberal country or not just a conservative country, but that the United States of America is one country, united. No matter the differences, the citizens of America are all connected. Obama suggests that
Why I Am an American Patriot I am an American Patriot because I support my country to my fullest. Patriotism means to stand by your country. It does not mean for you to stand by your president or any of the other elected public officials. America is the land of opportunities. There are so many choices to choose from.
But how does the youth of America benefit from the service and sacrifice of those veterans in uniforms at the assemblies or those men and women that never made it home? Do we benefit by being able to say we are the best country in the world, or is our benefits really just all the freedoms that we now have because of the Revolutionary War way back in the 1700’s? I believe that our benefits are those freedoms from the Revolution War. In order to really know how you benefit from the sacrifice of all the brave men and women, who have served there country with pride and honor, you have to be able to be thankful for what you have and what you could not have. If you aren’t thankful for being able to have freedom of speech, freedom of the press, and freedom of religion, you really don’t know that you are benefiting from those freedoms stated in the Bill of Rights in the Constitution.
