Lenny’s Love Revolution
February 1, 2008
Let me paint the picture.... We were led backstage to conduct an on-air radio interview with him for 92.5FM The River (Ron's station) and to get some station ID's recorded as well. As we reached the top of the stairs where the greenroom was located, I stopped mid-step and realized we were standing right in front of his dressing room. There he was. Hunched deep into his chair, legs crossed all cool-like, and tightly wrapped and wound in black leather crocodile boots, pants, jacket and an artful black silk scarf around his neck. With his Ipod and Macbook next to him, he made eye contact...in which we were silently invited to enter his space. He was at total peace, and gave a very moving interview about peace in the world; the needed and necessary love will all must carry in our hearts.
I shared with him my favorite "Lenny Moment" --when he hopped off the the stage (opening for Aerosmith in Charlotte) during "Let Love Rule" a few years ago...to work the crowd, dance with the entire audience and security guards for 20 minutes--a full let love rule break out. Maybe the fact that he was pretty stoned, would also equate to his marvel for my necklace, and his very cool relaxed rocker demeanor.
He was a hot, guy. Like runaway with him, HOT! Like forget real life and real world.and runaway with him HOT on a black thoroughbred racehorse!! Even Ron knew his wife was a bit flushed, a bit nervous, and a tad schoolgirlish around this particular rock icon. What is a husband to do, but stand and smile at his suddenly giddy and overwhelmed wife?
Ron also asked him during the interview "So.... according to MAXIM Magazine.... you have...
