LOVE October 11, 2013 INFT 101-11B LOVE What is love? Love means different things for different people. Webster defines love as “affection, devotion, infatuation, passion; amorousness. An intense feeling of deep affection”. (Roget’s Thesaurus2004, p. 102). Love is one of the greatest feelings in the world. Love cannot be breathe in or touch. Love comes from the heart and within a person’s body. Love is associated with endurance, patient, weakness, and trust. As being an auditory learner, I found out that one can be taught to love. First I had to learn to love myself then I could love others. I also have some traits of a visual learner, by watching others to love.. Learning to love, has taught me how to respect the aspects of others and how they are feeling towards the other person. It’s amazing how things change when I got older. That’s when I learned that unconditional love; when we had our children. That when action of love took over. Action love is when you put your love for others before yourself. I can forgive and forget even when I’m upset. As I grew older and learned of God’s love and how he gives unconditional love it made me think that God’s love is forever and he gives his all in all. God gives unconditional love in many aspects of life. The Bible states “Love suffer long and kind; love does not envy, love does not parade itself, is not pulled up, does not behave ruddy, does not seek its own, is not provoked, think no evil, does not rejoices in truth; bears all things, believe all things, hope all things, endures all things. Love never fails”. (1st Corinthians 13:4-8). In reading and studying these verses I learned that love conquers all. God ask us to love one another. I can unconditional and conditional love everyone. I have often asked myself; have I been unselfish or have I done what Love God would want me to do?
