One beautiful sunny day, Jessica and Linda were chatting in a cafe located on a famous street in Paris. They told jokes and discussed the things happened around them. They started to talk about their lives. Linda’s boyfriend, Steven had just been fired by his company a week ago. She told Jessica that she is very disappointed about what happened to Steven. Steven is a good guy; however, Linda was very upset by Steven‘s attitude because Steven had changed after he lost the job. Steven stays at home all the time. Linda told Jessica that she wants to break up with Steven because he doesn‘t have salary anymore and never hangs out with her since the day he got fired. Jessica thinks Linda should not change her love for Steven only because Steven is poor now. Jessica told Linda that she should not focus on how much money Steven earns other than the love. However, Linda thinks Steven is not good enough to be her husband in the future, so she dumped him a week later. Linda told Jessica that she wants to be with a guy who has a great job and a stable salary in order to take care of her and build up a perfect family together. On the other hand, Jessica is a very independent woman who is a manager of a fashion industry. Jessica thinks that a woman should not relay on a man. They should have the financial stability to take care of themselves. Jessica and Linda’s attitudes are the examples of an important change. Nowadays, people more become difficult to fall in love compare to the past. Why would this happen? What makes people so difficult to fall in love? The theories about love are changing, but why? Love changed because women have become more independent, people become more materialize, and people become unfaithful with their lover. In our community, it is very difficult to find true love because there are too many social forces around which complicates our view of love.
