A smile, nod, or acknowledgement is a way of communication and lets the other person know you are aware of them. One needs to be able to provide a solid account of a child’s day to parents, so that a parent can feel fully up to date about their child, and confident that their child is being cared for. Good communication is also very important in maintaining relationships with colleagues because it helps to support each other in our working lives.
