So students living in dorms do not really have to worry about traveling back and forth to school, and they do not have a lot of time to themselves vs. a commuter but they both have a share of responsibility. When living in a dorm students really do not have a lot of time to themselves because they have to share rooms with other students that are attending the college. They have to be considerate of each other and set some ground rules so that there will not be any confusing between them. So when going around asking students about how their life is on campus they said it has its pros and cons. One of the students said that she does not get to see her family and friends that much.
When first arriving to college, students don’t have the mandatory push that parents and teachers used to give. We are now on our own and for those that lack survival skills, it can be detrimental. For example, there are a lot of things that students don’t know how to do their selves. This can include washing clothes, cooking food, handling money and even time management skills. Without these skills, students can become overwhelmed and retain poor grades in their classes.
Like a normal human being the student started to panic. So at the end of class he politely asked for extra credit, and the teacher in return said, no. Although in college you don’t receive extra credit he deserves some extra credit to make up for the mistakes the teacher had made. Another reason why teachers should acquire failing students with extra credit is that perhaps the students may of missed many days of school prior to being sick or injured. However, if your a student that misses a day of school, you should get the make up work and you should catch up to the rest of the class on your own.
Learning Against Grades In this society, students are encouraged to pursue a higher education after graduating from high school. Yet, each individual has a different reason for desiring to move on to college. Students attend college either because they want to increase their knowledge, get a decent paying job after college, or they just want to get the “college” experience instead of going on to the working force after high school. As a first-year college student, I pictured college to be a “… place for learning and growth…” (Jerry Faber, 387), but I was slightly wrong. Everyday I stress over earning a good grade in my classes, instead of being driven to learn the material of the course.
Why Student Council is Important. There are many ways Student Council is important. Student Council helps students in more ways than you know. For instance it helps you develop leadership skills, meet new people and be part of a group. In the next few paragraphs I will elaborate on my thoughts on why Student Council is important.

On the other hand, college is voluntary and can be very expensive to attend. Because attendance is optional (and costly), students tend to be more motivated and are there because they have a clear plan for their futures. Cons Cons of Year Round School There are some very strong reasons for not implementing a year round school schedule. These include, but are not limited, to: * Families with different children on different tracks have a difficult time. * With families that have multiple children in school, they will sometimes find it difficult to make plans for before or after school or to schedule family vacations. * School clubs like band, sports, theatre and cheerleading, have difficult time practicing with frequent breaks. * Teachers that coach these activities find that just because they are on vacation doesn’t mean the activity stops.
