The savior was always obedient. He showed his love for the Lord by being obedient. Was he tempted? Yes. The master of deceit tempted him, but yet he was an example of obedience by refusing to deviate from what He knew was right.
But back then this is all they had to hold onto was the dreaming of a better life. They were beat and embarrassed every day, they were belittled, and it happened every day. So the hope and dream is what they held on to. This is why she said she is reluctant to leave the pleasing views. She and everybody else knows that they are just
Not only does this make finding a job next to impossible it also gets him a great deal of disrespect from the community, especially from Angela’s sister and mother. This even pushes Angela to a depressed state for a while where all she can do is smoke woodbine cigarettes and drink lemonade, neglecting her own children. Frequently, throughout the book, she must go to the St. Vincent de Paul Society in order to receive welfare for her family. This remains the only source of money for the McCourts due to the fact that when Malachy actually does get a job he ends up losing it or using his wages on alcohol. Angela’s Ashes shows the reader how an addiction can wreak havoc on a family, especially when that family has little to begin with.
this is was big eye opener for Gilbert because he realized he shouldn’t be letting arnie hold him back from being happy in his life. he then began to live with the way arnie acted and his challenges he accepted them and allowed him to find happiness. This is a great example of a character not letting someone or something confine them and end up being happier than those around
Punishment in The Scarlet Letter In Nathaniel Hawthorne’s The Scarlet Letter, physical punsihment is nothing compared to how the mind can cause punishment. In the Scarlet Letter, Hester Phynne is isolated by the members of Purtian society and left with her child Pearl, a constent reminder of her sin. Dimmesdale’s choice to not feese up to his sin leaves him with mental punishment that makes him sicker and weaker. Chillingsworth does not receive pain, but he does inflict pain to those around him. The main characters of The Scarlet Letter are left to tourment by themselves, the worst punishment of them all.
She became mean too since she was lonely and the men rejected her. Curley’s wife was so lonely that she looked like a desperate, sour woman but when she died “the meanness and the plannings and the discontent and the ache for attention were all gone from her face. She was very pretty and simple, and her face was sweet and young.” (Steinbeck109). Loneliness had affected Curley’s wife so much that the only time she looked happy and in peace when she died. Loneliness had made her so much harm in the way that she was better off dead because she did not have the lonely feeling anymore and she looked like what she was- a young sweet, pretty, simple girl.
In “Maestro” the inspirational journey of Paul trying to grip his highest dream there was disappointment but he still received “Honorable mentions”. Paul ended up within a life “with a women and child that he loved, within the confines of I life he hated” the disappointment of not achieve his dreams and the loss of Eduard Keller does show in “maestro” but Paul doesn’t realize that he isn’t failing he is at a great level he may not be “one in a million” but he sure is “one in a thousand” and that itself is a pretty big goal to achieve itself. Paul ended up with a girl that he loves, he was no longer shy to bullies and gained confidence and he grew so much throughout “Maestro”, not all of Paul’s life is full of failure and disappointment but rather “a small hurt to save a wasted life”. Paul achieved high and he gained a wife and child afterwards this overthrows the big disappointments in his life to make his journey through it
Gilgamesh never thought about how hard his people had it, and he would have continued to think that they had it easier than they really did. He would have never figured it out unless he had the experience, which he did thanks to Enkidu. In the end, Enkidu really changed Gilgamesh’s perspective on the world and they way things are when you’re not being waited on all the time. Enkidu made Gilgamesh realize that he had to help others out and can’t just be helped. He made him know what it was like to have a loving friend, and the devastation of loosing one.

Show me how to do the little things and the right things so that I can lead others in my example to the glory of God in Heaven. Steer me to be able to deflect the negative attitudes and opinions of me and my faith so that I will only focus on what is important. Help me to improve myself in the image of love and compassion towards others and live selflessly the way that you do. Help me to but God and others before myself.
